Feeding to facebook....

I think that I just did something very tech-ie for me.... If this works, as I update my blog it will automatically post to facebook. So this is my trial run... Fingers crossed!

Circle of Friends...

I got to take pictures of these three beautiful ladies this afternoon. After a week following kids and trying to capture something of use in the harsh direct sunlight, I was grateful for open shade and compliant models!

Weird picture places...

So we went to an empty lot to take pictures. It was hard to keep my girls from wandering off like junk ard cats looking for cool pieces of rusted metal. I have driven past this lot tons of times as the sun is about to go down and I just LOVE how the light falls across the brush. My goal was to figure out how to use my flash to fill the shadows in natural sunlight. Although I am FAR from mastering it, I was excited to get a feel for it. We finished off taking some pictures on some very industrial stairs to the storage containers at the school. The other thing that I learned was that it was pointless to take more than two girls out for pictures. It might just be the three year old, but I ended up VERY frustrated.

Fun at the park

We went to the park today for a birthday party. Here are a couple fun pics that we took.

LOVE that baby chub!

Baby M let me practice on her today. She has such striking eyes and all of her adorable baby squishy-ness! It was harder than I thought to capture her attention and get great eye contact. Definately something I need to work on. I have some more to process, but enjoy this little sneak peek!

Difficult Models

I bought a new fabric for backgrounds. I thought that it would be fun. I have someone coming over tomorrow for a practice session so I thought I needed to test it out this afternoon.

Unfortunately, my models are very temperamental. They feel like they are overworked and sometimes they aren't very cooperative.

My other cooperative Model

And other times they just walk out in the middle of a shoot.
