Making Brownies!

The best part! I am really trying to work on always getting the focus I want even when I have a very shallow depth of field. It has really been difficult for me.

Irises!

A day at the zoo...

We played hookie today from the to do list and joined a friend at the zoo. You would think that I would have more pictures... but this is the one that really stood out to me. It is her son.

The New Camera

Here are some pictures with the new (to me at least) camera.

Just my baby...

I was just going through all of the pictures on my new LARGE memory card. Here is one from last month that I finally got around to processing.

Random...

The first picture is part of my 365 day forum that I try to post regularly on. This weeks theme is "Through a child's eyes." I was very excited that I captured my reflection in my little girl's eye.
The rest of these are just me practicing shooting in full sun. We found the tiny bit of dappled light that the honey suckle provided and then turned her back to the sun so that we had a consistant light on her face. It also helped that we had a great deal of reflected light coming off the back of the house.

My little monsters...

A rare occurance as of late... The three year old actually let me take her picture! You are stuck seeing my kids for a bit until I have some more portfolio building shoots.

Busy Life...

I haven't posted in a while. It has been busy here. Nothing exciting, but here is a couple of little picture of the baby.

A picture for today....

My beautiful girl! If she could talk she would probably complain that I was taking pictures rather than getting her out of the crib.

Picture for the paper...

My friend is runnig for the City Council and needed some pictures for his campaign and such. So- this was my exciting photography for today.

The Baby....

Took this little pic the other day. She is officially walking now. Sniff... Sniff... My big girl! I am working on making a "good" black and white.

Like Dandelion Dust....

I have seen a lot of these pictures lately and I just had to try it. When I showed my husband, his first response was "did you do this in our back yard?" No... The dandelions in out back yard will have to depend on the wind (or the three year old).

The nieces....

More pictures of my nieces this past weekend...
If you click on the link at the bottom you can see a couple more on my flicker gallery.
Now I get to start working on the dance pictures! Who would have thought that photography would result in SO much time in front of the computer.

For my brother and s-i-l....

I still have bunches more to do, but thought you would appreciate this little preview!

Blue

The theme this week is blue. Here are my pictures from the last two days.

Processing...processing...processing...

Just a couple of pictures from this past weekend. I think they are a big improvement from my newborn pictures that I took in February, but I can still find things that I need to work on. Some of these were pretty under exposed. I fixed it in Photoshop, but I need to get better at nailing the exposure. I also had some where the focus was slightly off. This it driving me nuts. I HAVE to work on that. I would love to think that my camera is having a problem, but I think it is user error.

My little trip back to Texas...

As I made my escape we flew over my house! I went back to Texas for the weekend for a little bit of sanity and to take pictures. I have so many pictures to process and haven't had much time. I was out last night at volleyball with one of my daughters and will be out this evening taking pictures for a small dance class.... but just to torture my family.... I'll post one.
