Pettiskirt -

I made a pettiskirt- Red for the 4th of July. We did up my daughters hair and painted her nails blue so that we could get a patriotic shot. She promised me that she would let me take pictures of her. We go outside and she is her typical uncooperative self. Grrrr.... I had high expectations. This one turned out pretty cute though.

Photography meet up... Maple Valley Children's Photographer

One of the online communities that I participate in had a get together yesterday. We met up with our models and just took pictures. We had a great time and I was nice to get pictures of people other than my kids. I am a bit to ADD for these type events. I tend to run from one group to a next afraid I might be missing a great shot. I think that next time I need to focus on one model at time, until I get the picture I want. Oh well... I was a great group of ladies and I had a good time.

Headshots Maple Valley Senior Photographer

K and her family are about to move out to California. K wants to try to go into acting so I got to take some headhots of her. She is stunningly beautiful... very easy to photograph. It was fun and makes me realize that I want to find some high school seniors to photograph this fall.

The Neighbors... Maple Valley Family Photographer

My neighbor had me take pictures of her children yesterday. She really wanted pictures of her little boy with just a couple of her girls, but her girls were just SO photogenic! It aslo helped that they sat in one spot and looked at the camera. 4 year old boys are tough to catch. Definately something I will have to work on.

Just another Manic Monday!

Not really manic. Well no more so than normal, but I couldn't help myself. Just some pictures of my girl!

Just some girls and a guitar... Maple Valley Family Photographer

There is this building I drive by several times a day. I have always thought it was a cool looking abandoned building and I have always wanted to take pictures in front of it. So that is waht we did tonight. It was a bit scary because the door was cracked and it was obvious that there had been recent activity inside, but what is saftey when you want to get the picture? Ha Ha. Anyway I thought these turned out pretty cool!

Playing with the flash

The theme this week is light. I decided to play with the flash. Now I have triplets. My daughter and I had a blast just goofing around.

Family Portraits

I had my first attempt at family portraits in a long time. They are a little stiffer than I would like, but I think over time I should get better at directing my subjects so they can look more natural. I also messed up and had my camera set at an insanely high ISO for the first part of the shoot. I guess that was another learning experience. The dad is running for city council in the fall, thus the VOTE picture.
