Crazy Week

Well, we have had a crazy week, full of visitors and outings. It has been so much fun, but I am so tired. One of the outings we took was to go to Alki Beach and take skyline pictures of Seattle.
If I had known this one would turn out so nicely, I would have dressed the girls better.
Seattle just after sunset.
My Beautiful Stand-in

I was getting the lights and everything ready to take a picture of the baby for her baptism while she is napping. I had to use my other hostage as a stand in. She is ratty... Ratty, unbrushed hair, hot chocolate down her shirt... but really does it matter? I am just getting things set up for the REAL shoot. But of course I end up with some pictures that would be good if it weren't for the ratty child. :) (I had to bribe her with a girlscout cookie!)
Now I told her she could type:

The Narrows Bridge

I went to a Photo Meetup group's event tonight. It was a sunset shoot at the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. I completely misjudged traffic and was late. As I arrived the main group of them was headed inside. I wasn't sure why, because the sun was still out, although it was a lack luster sunset.
I finally felt a little foolish not going in to join them so I did. The seating was horrible and the 2 8-tops were full. The coordinater of the event was engrossed in a conversation with another person, so I sat by myself. Sniff... Sniff... As I waited for my food (it was a order your food at the counter restaurant), I kept watching the sun go down. I finally couldn't stand it anymore and went back out and took a couple of pictures. It was very cold and I had forgotten my jacket, so I didn't go back down where I had been shooting before, where the stupid posts wouldn't be in my pictures. Oh well... I got to try a technique I had seen on a website and got a picture that I was pretty happy with.
Oh... and this one was the train. I was just having fun. The train is the blur.
My little monkey...

Lately I have seen some really fun pictures of people (adults actually) jumping beds. I decided I wanted to try to take some. We have really nice light in our bedroom and a really big bed so I told the 2 year old to jump. You would think that would be easy enough, but no. She rolled. I think we still got some cute pictures. I guess this makes up for her being left out of the snow pictures...
